The Falcons of Mount Zawiya Brigade (transliterated Arabic: ') is a US-sponsored Free Syrian Army rebel group operating in the Idlib governorate. It was originally part of the Ahfad al-Rasul Brigade and later the Syria Revolutionaries Front (SRF) when it was sponsored by Qatar. It joined the 5th Corps after leaving the SRF due to internal disputes. The group received TOW missiles from the U.S〔 and maintains close ties with the Idlib Military Council.〔 The group takes its name from Zawiya Mountain. ==History== Its first serious effort was in December 2011, when it disabled an APC and launched a successful raid on Kfar Haya. The group's leader younger brother, Alaa Yahya, died in the clashes. The group's founder Captain Yousif Yahya left the group to form the Saiqa Battalion in mid-February 2012. It merged with the Dareq bin Zayd Battalion and the Aqba bin Nafaa Battalion to form the Ibrahim Hunano Brigade in late March 2012,〔 but left it for the SRF later on. Eventually, it became part of the FSA's 5th Corps.〔
